<p>(Manila, Philippines, March 29, 2011) — The Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPA/P) announced that it has partnered for the third year with TeamAsia to produce the International Outsourcing Summit 2011 (IOS).</p>
<p>According to BPA/P senior executive director Gillian Joyce G. Virata, IOS will take place October 11-12. BPA/P is the umbrella association for the IT-BPO and shared services industry in the Philippines. TeamAsia is an award-winning strategic marketing communications firm.</p>
<p>&#8220;This year&#8217;s Summit will feature presentations and panel discussions with more than 60 top executives and analysts from industry leading organizations,&#8221; Raymond Lacdao, BPAP executive director for industry affairs, said. &#8220;The theme of the Summit—Global Market Leaders Addressing Global Issues—will focus on innovation and value creation. The industry is moving up the value chain rapidly, and clients expect services providers to be their partners in enhancing value for their customers.</p>
<p>&#8220;We will hear first-hand from industry clients what they expect. And top executives of the industry will describe how they are responding,&#8221; Lacdao said.</p>
<p>The Summit will also provide the opportunity to examine growth of the Philippines&#8217; IT-BPO and shared services industry, and its prospects moving forward, according to Virata. &#8220;The IT-BPO Road Map 2011-2016 identified key opportunities and risks for the Philippines to take advantage of the growth in the IT-BPO industry. Likewise, existing and emerging locators are on the road to successfully replicating the Philippines&#8217; success, making competition in the industry fiercer, not only in terms of costs, but more importantly, in terms of labor provision and talent management, technology and service innovation, and specialization.</p>
<p>&#8220;This year&#8217;s Summit reviews the Road Map and its implications on the Philippines&#8217; position as the new leader in voice—and how it affects the even faster-growing non-voice segment for all locators,&#8221; Virata explained. &#8220;With more than 20 verticals and 500,000 knowledge workers, the Philippines is the place to meet top influential executives from both the industry and the industries it services,&#8221; Lacdao said.</p>
<p>Approximately 400 executives in the IT-BPO and shared services industry from 20 countries are expected to attend the three-day Summit and related events, which include an exhibit, gala dinners, and site tours, according to Lacdao. <p>TeamAsia will produce the event, and provide organizational and general management, sponsor and exhibitor marketing, and delegate marketing services under BPA/P&#8217;s direction. It will also provide creative design, public relations, and web development services.</p>
