BPAP unveils new headquarters, holds dedication ceremony

<p><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1960" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;old&period;teamasia&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;03&sol;BPAP-unveils-new-headquarters-holds-dedication-ceremony&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"500" height&equals;"333"><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Manila&comma; Philippines — The Business Processing Association of the Philippines &lpar;BPAP&rpar;&comma; the cross-sectoral association for the information technology and business process outsourcing &lpar;IT-BPO&rpar; and global in-house center &lpar;GIC&rpar; industry in the Philippines&comma; welcomed partners and industry officials to the blessing and dedication ceremony of its new office at Bonifacio Global City&comma; Taguig City&period;<&excl;--more--><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>With the support of industry stakeholders and sponsors&comma; BPAP and its partner associations—the Animation Council of the Philippines&comma; Inc&period;&comma; Contact Center Association of the Philippines&comma; Game Developers Association of the Philippines&comma; Healthcare Information Management Outsourcing Association of the Philippines&comma; and Philippine Software Industry Association—expanded their space and operations to support the needs of the growing IT-BPO industry&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In September&comma; BPAP announced the transfer of its office from Makati City to C2 Building&comma; Bonifacio High Street&comma; 30th Street corner 7th Avenue&comma; Bonifacio Global City to fulfill its mission of providing support and assistance to its members&comma; partner associations&comma; foreign investors and global clients&comma; government&comma; and the estimated 770&comma;000-strong IT-BPO workforce&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The IT-BPO industry has greatly contributed to the country’s economic growth&period; With the Philippines’ impressive 7&period;1&percnt; growth in the third quarter of 2012&comma; we continue to be inspired by what the country can become&period; We feel very honored to have a dedicated team of people on our side who are ready to make great things happen for this industry&comma;” said BPAP president and CEO Benedict Hernandez&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>BPAP chairman Alfredo Ayala&comma; senior executive director Gillian Virata&comma; and the organization’s executive directors and staff welcomed guests to the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony and shared their insights on the industry’s prospects&period; They also reviewed the progress made since Road Map 2010&comma; which defined the target goals of US&dollar;25 billion in revenues and employment of 1&period;3 million by 2016&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Philippine IT-BPO industry is expected to end 2012 with 772&comma;000 full-time employees and over US&dollar;13 billion in revenues&period; In 2013&comma; the industry aims to employ 926&comma;000 full-time employees and earn US&dollar;16 billion&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>About the Business Processing Association of the Philippines<&sol;strong><br &sol;>&NewLine;BPAP is the cross-sectoral association for the IT-BPO and GIC &lpar;global in-house center&rpar; industry in the Philippines&period; BPAP serves as the one-stop information and advocacy gateway for the industry&period; With approximately 300 industry and support-industry members&comma; including five associations—the Animation Council of the Philippines&comma; Contact Center Association of the Philippines&comma; Game Developers Association of the Philippines&comma; Healthcare Information Management Outsourcing Association of the Philippines&comma; and Philippine Software Industry Association—BPAP plays a pivotal role in sustaining rapid growth of the IT-BPO and GIC industry by working to ensure an enduring supply of high-quality labor&comma; supporting service innovation&comma; and providing country visibility&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>BPAP assists investors in setting up operations easily and quickly in the Philippines&period; Relevant research&comma; introductions to key government and industry officials&comma; and a series of briefings at each step of the investment process ensure a seamless development process&period; On-going support is provided through a wide variety of initiatives&comma; including programs for HR development&comma; business development&comma; and on-going knowledge sharing and networking opportunities&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
